Eve sitting in the morning sun, eyes closed in enjoyment.

Sun Meditation

This morning the pull of sun worship was irresistible. I found a quiet, sunny spot and sat listening to the bird song all around for about 10 minutes. Have you ever listened through your skin, just open up your pores to receive sound as well as sun energy.

It’s such a beautiful thing, a luxurious feeling, a privilege really to drop everything that’s irrelevant and just be.

Then afterwards, in the Yoga Shed, I went about my asana practice with a calm mind and a sunshine-filled heart.

Sthira-sukham-asanam

The posture is firm and soft.*
