Countdown

Two weeks tomorrow Daniel and I will be in the U.S.A. I have mixed feelings about returning to the land where I was born. Not because I don’t want to be there, but because I don’t want to not be here.
I’ve so appreciated the gentle changes that have occurred in our environment since moving to the country eight months ago. And the bigger changes that we’ve bestowed on house and garden over that time. I’ll end up missing out on more than half of spring, the time of year when you can smell things growing and see animals swelling. It’ll be like reading a book with a juicy chapter torn out.
The good thing is the amazing experiences I anticipate I will have in the States…. For instance, I’ll be a partaker of the art festival, Burning Man: http://www.burningman.com which looks to be life-changing!
We’ll also do some sightseeing in one of the grand national parks, Yosemite.
There will be family reunions, time to re-new relationships that are too easily neglected because of the huge distance, a whole ocean between us.
I’m already feeling bereft when I think about being away from the Yoga Shed. So convenient and so necessary for my well-being. Over the months I’ve been filling it with the good vibes of regular yoga practice, aided by my new students and many visitors from the city. What will I do without my yoga props? Oh Lordy!
